There has been many achievements accomplished by the staff of Al-Tufula Center over the years in the field of Early Childhood. These are some of the achievements:

 Awareness & Education:
• Raised awareness of Children's Rights in the community.
• Increased community understanding of the Early Childhood period's importance and characteristics.
• Developed and distributed educational materials in Arabic for caregivers and parents.
• Expanded the field of Arabic children's literature.
• Published a biannual newsletter on Early Childhood.
• Conducted research on Early Childhood Education and evaluated existing resources and programs.


Parental & Caregiver Engagement:

• Boosted parental involvement in ECCD.
• Supported caregivers with professional in-service training and pre-employment advice.
• Established a Resource Center, collating existing Early Childhood Education materials for parents and caregivers.


Networking & Advocacy:

• Fostered networking activities to promote cooperation among Palestinian organizations in Early Childhood Education.
• Engaged with Palestinian organizations in Israel for legislative advocacy, especially emphasizing public awareness on Early Childhood Education issues.
• Established a cooperation forum among Palestinian NGOs in Israel and co-developed program implementation plans.

 Innovative Approaches in ECCD:
• Introduced both a Holistic Integrative Approach and an Active Learning Approach to institutions in the ECCD field.
• Advanced the ongoing development of resource culture.


 Promotion of Language & Culture:
• Translated children's books and related materials into Arabic.


Advocacy & Legislative Achievements:
• Campaigned for and saw the implementation of the Free Compulsory Education Law from age 3.
• Witnessed the law's enactment in 1999, leading to its full implementation by 2018.
• Advocated for enhanced KG teacher training, resulting in the growth of Arab colleges providing this training from one in 1992 to over eight now.
• Pushed for improved professional ECCD supervision, leading to an increase in qualified supervisors.
• Championed government responsibility for the entire educational system, especially nurseries, achieving legislative success with nurseries needing official registration and approval.
• Advocacy resulted in the education system's transition to the Ministry of Education's jurisdiction.


Employment & Economic Impact:
• Facilitated over 10,000 job openings, including positions for Arab KG teachers, college lecturers, and other educational professionals.


Caveats:
• Despite successes, nursery infrastructure is overseen by the Minister of Housing and Planning.
• Financial assistance for working mothers remains the Ministry of Economics' responsibility.
